The health measures that the Government of President Nayib Bukele to prevent COVID-19 has kept El Salvador with the lowest rate of infections in Central America. In addition to the lower number of people who died from this disease.
The Government has not lowered its guard with the implementation of preventive health measures such as the strengthening of the public medical system, the purchase of medical supplies, and the training of personnel to face the pandemic, among others.
All these actions have been effective in safeguarding the lives of the majority of Salvadorans. To this must be added the willingness of the population to put into practice all the biosafety protocols issued by the Ministry of Health.
The pandemic continues to develop, the virus remains in circulation throughout the territory, and however, confirmed cases of the disease have remained stable to this date.
The Minister of Health, Francisco Alabi, reiterates that it depends on the discipline of the population to prevent a re-growth. The official explained that a second wave of cases cannot be considered because the first has not reached zero, that is, the country remains in the first stage.
Although the minister affirmed that there may be an upturn in sickness, to the extent that Salvadorans relax basic hygiene measures such as the use of a mask, use of alcohol gel, frequent hand washing with soap and water and maintain social distancing (physical).
