While in Bogotá, Medellin and Cali have been total quarantine on weekends, in cities like Barranquilla and Bucaramanga there are only measures like “pico y cédula” and Mobility restriction at night.
The Ministry of health informed that the occupancy of beds at the ICU in Bogota is reaching 90%, due to this, the quarantine maintains in the scheme 4×3, it means, 4 days of free circulation and presential work and 3 days of total quarantine until May 3. During the total quarantine, health services can move (including vaccination), security, transportation, and food (only one person per family to go to the supermarket).
In regard to the vaccination, during this week it is expected to receive the arrival of 2.4 million doses from AstraZeneca Pfizer and Sinovac. With this announcement, the Schedule of appointments can be reactivated.
On the other hand, the traveling of foreign citizens mainly by air has suffered a downsized of 75% in the first trimester of the year, according to the immigration office, Bogota was the most affected city with a 37%, followed by Medellin with a 19% and Cartagena with a 13%.
