Yanhaas survey company revealed this Saturday the results of a new study that puts the candidate of Pacto Historico, Gustavo Petro, a favorite to win the second round of the election that will be disputed next June 19th.
According to the company’s study, Petro would obtain 45% of the votes above Rodolfo Hernandez who would obtain only 35%.
The results of the quantitative study were given after questioning 1,234 citizens which 7% mentioned that they didn’t have an idea of whom to vote for and 13% mentioned that they won’t vote.
Months ago, Yanhaas published another survey where Petro was also the winner of the election with 42%.
In the first round, the margin between the 2 candidates was more than 2.5 million votes but the second round shows a closer panorama. The last survey of the intention of voting done by Invamer revealed that it would be only a difference of 1 point.
A technical tie is a less expected panorama for this political moment.
