The state of Querétaro is the fifth largest recipient of Spanish investment.

 Foreign and national investors continue to find in Querétaro a trustworthy destination to invest.

During the first quarter of 2021, the state of Querétaro ranked as the fifth recipient of foreign investment and remains as one of the most reliable destinations for national and foreign investment thanks to its great competitive advantages.

199 companies with Spanish capital are concentrated in the state of Querétaro, which represents 2.9% of the total number of companies nationwide and 11% of the total number of foreign companies in the state; which are mainly dedicated to the sector of transport equipment, electrical, diverse services, machinery and equipment, among others.

During a meeting with Kim Fausing, president and CEO of the Danfoss company and Eric Alström, president of Energy Solution of the same company, the head of SEDESU, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero highlighted the main advantages of the state of Querétaro, among which the infrastructure, connectivity, workforce, education centers and the preparation of Queretaro talent stood out.

It is estimated that the lines of collaboration between Querétaro and one of its main commercial partners will continue to grow, considering that Spain ranks second as the largest investor during the 1999-2020 period and first during the first quarter of 2021.

According to the head of the Sustainable Development Secretariat (SEDESU), during the first quarter of the year Spanish investments represented 20% of the total capital received with 86.4 million dollars.
