The head of government (Claudia Sheinbaum) announced this Friday July 17th that Mexico City will continue in orange light. She informed that the city is not prepared for the yellow light yet. The reopening of activities like: shops, hotels, restaurants, street markets, beauty parlors and shopping centers will continue, at 30% of their capacity.1
On the other hand, the undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion (Hugo Lopez Gatell) indicated this Monday, July 20th at a press conference that the COVID-19 epidemic continues growing in the country, but with “slower increase”.2
Social Security Institute (IMSS) shared a phone line where citizens can receive medical advice in case that they are experiencing any case of stress or anxiety during this pandemic.3
The Mexican Government is participating in all the multilateral efforts for a vaccine development that could be ready this year, meaning that Mexico will have access to 2,000 million dosis that will be distributed along 77 countries.4
