The head of government (Claudia Sheinbaum) announced this Friday July 17^th that Mexico City will continue in orange light. She informed that the city is not prepared for the yellow light yet. The reopening of activities like: shops, hotels, restaurants, street markets, beauty parlors and shopping centers will continue, at 30% of their capacity.¹

On the other hand, the undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion (Hugo Lopez Gatell) indicated this Monday, July 20th at a press conference that the COVID-19 epidemic continues growing in the country, but with “slower increase”.²

Social Security Institute (IMSS) shared a phone line where citizens can receive medical advice in case that they are experiencing any case of stress or anxiety during this pandemic.³

The Mexican Government is participating in all the multilateral efforts for a vaccine development that could be ready this year, meaning that Mexico will have access to 2,000 million dosis that will be distributed along 77 countries.⁴
