The government announced that San Jose is now in orange alert due to the increase in contagions after being in yellow alert. There are four more districts that are turning to orange alert as well. There are 7 districts are turning to yellow alert.

The vehicle restriction will continue for 2 more weeks. Vehicles can not circulate from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The ministry of health has announced that for the fourth consecutive week, contagions have decreased.

On the other hand, according to President Carlos Alvarado, the delivery of vaccines will be reactivated on the week of February 15^th, however they don’t know how many doses they will receive.

The vaccination campaign started on December 24^th and until know 28,383 citizens have already received both doses.
