The government announced that the sanitary emergency will be extended until May 31st as well as some new measures due to the current situation and the economic reactivation process.
- Public and private with crowds are not allowed.
- The recommendation for people over70 years old is to stay at home.
- Return to School under the alternate model.
Colombia has also extended the closure of land and sea borders that are valid since March 2020 until June 1st, 2021, this is with the objective of controlling and avoiding more contagions.
In regards of the sanitary protocols, the Ministry of Health has modified some protocols:
The take of temperature is eliminated at the entrance of any private or public establishment and the disinfectant mat at the entrance will be removed.
Social distancing and use of facemask will maintain as well as the hand wash.
On the other hand, Avianca Airlines has informed that beginning on March 1st, 15 international routes will be suspended among others are Barcelona, London, Rio de Janeiro, Ft Lauderdale, Orlando, and Panama. In the same way they will cancel some routes from and to Central America.
The airline assures that all affected passengers will be able to change the Destination to a common place without any penalty or extra charge.
