On October 13, the Central Park Free Zone, located in Cartagena, commemorates its first 12 years of uninterrupted activities aimed at the economic and social development of the country and the Caribbean region and has established itself as the most modern free zone in the Caribbean with a modern infrastructure, state-of-the-art technology, and one with the best growth trends in that region.
Likewise, thanks to its ideal conditions, there are already 43 companies from different economic sectors that have chosen to settle and operate there, which generates around 950 direct jobs and more than 1,500 indirect jobs and investments of more than US $ 117 million.
This Free Trade Zone has managed to stand out as the fastest growing in the country in number of companies installed composed mainly of the manufacturing industry and activities aimed at services; and during the first half of 2022, it had a growth in its operations of 95%, compared to the previous year, which positions it as the second Free Trade Zone in Colombia and the first in the Caribbean Region.
Central Park will continue working to strengthening that Cartagena continues to be the most important logistics center of maritime cargo in the country and the most important industrial city in the Colombian Caribbean, as well as potentiate the Colombian foreign trade sector and contributing to the growth of the country’s economy.
