Colombia reached 4.972.236 contagions since the pandemic began and a total of 127,000 deaths. The city with more contagions is Medellin followed by Barranquilla, Valle, Bogota, and Meta.
On the other hand, the vaccination plan to apply the third dose of the vaccine for 70 years old people have started. These citizens can receive the same vaccine that the other two doses or a different one and it must have passed at least 6 months since the last dose application.
The capital has also begun to vaccinate the migrant population against COVID-19, especially Venezuelans in an irregular situation with 2,500 daily doses, however, the Ministry of Health projects a fourth peak towards the last week of October or early November. This could have a shorter duration, but mortality cannot be determined in Colombia since the presence of the variants B.1.621, Gamma, B1.625; Lambda, Alpha and Delta, the latter with a greater contagion capacity and with the probability of being a dominant variant.
