According to the Ministry of Health (Minsal), a total of 1 million 68 thousand 428 vaccines have been applied in El Salvador, of which: 941 thousand 508 correspond to first doses and 126 thousand 920 to second doses.

El Salvador received more than 1 million 650 thousand from the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac, and those applied represent approximately 42.2% of the total doses received.

The country only applies the vaccines of the pharmaceutical companies AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Sinovac, each of which needs two doses to reach its maximum level of immunity against the coronavirus.

The Government of El Salvador and the US pharmaceutical company Pfizer signed an agreement for the supply of 4.4 million vaccines against Covid-19, as reported by President Nayib Bukele.
