El Salvador registers an increase in Covid-19 cases and asks to the citizens to reinforce measures. The increase in diagnoses “turned on the alerts in the Ministry of Health,” where they are reviewing compliance with all biosafety protocols. That is why the Minister Francisco Alabi recommended to the population to strength preventive measures to fight the spread of the virus.

President Nayib Bukele affirmed that the country faces an outbreak of COVID-19 due to the increase in confirmed cases in recent days. Of 2,414 PCR tests carried out, health authorities detected 145 new cases.

“We have confirmed an outbreak of Covid-19 cases. Although the hospitals remain relatively empty and the pandemic is still relatively under control, the number of consecutive days with an increase in cases indicates that a national outbreak has begun,” explained the President Bukele.
